Celebration of The Power to Overcome

p20

Wednesday evening, we had the privilege of honoring the thousands of Virginians, including all of the Sheltering Arms patients, who have found The Power to Overcome illness and injury, as well as the family members, loved ones and healthcare professionals who have helped them along the way.

Katie Dupree, a certified broadcast meteorologist for WRIC-TV Channel 8, shared her time and talents as our emcee for the evening. Rob Jones, a veteran and double amputee, told us how he conquered his injury and how he continues to challenge himself. The program included inspiring patient recovery stories from James Howard and Taylor Roberts who both turned monumental setbacks into comebacks.

Special thanks to our table sponsors – The Amey Family, Bon Secours, CSS Fundraising, Global Endowment Management, Hourigan Construction, Middleburg Trust Company, Reynolds Development, SunTrust, Mr. & Mrs. Theodore Price, Troutman Sanders, Thompson, Siegel & Walmsley, VCU Health, Vibra Hospital of Richmond, Wells Fargo, and West Creek Business Park. Thank you to all of our Advocate and Proud Sponsors as well, all of whom helped to make the celebration possible!

A wonderful time was had by all!
