Club Rec Day Recreation Program Adds Babylon Micro-Farm To Programming

Sheltering Arms is excited to announce its partnership with Babylon Micro-Farms, the industry-leading producer of hydroponic, vertical farms.

Thanks to generous funding from the Emily and Coleman Hunter Trust and the Julia and Tunnicliff Fox Charitable Trust, Sheltering Arms has installed a Babylon Micro-Farm at its Midtown location in Scott’s Addition to further enhance programming for its approximately 40 Club Rec members, the organization’s mission-driven day recreation program for adults with disabilities.

Sheltering Arms to Renovate Bon Air Outpatient Center

In demonstration of its ongoing commitment to Sheltering Arms Institute, Sheltering Arms Corporation—the majority joint venture partner of the Institute—is set to renovate its Bon Air Outpatient Rehabilitation Center located at 206 Twinridge Lane in Chesterfield County.

The renovation project will begin in December 2024 and last approximately one year. Highlights of the 22,150-square-foot project to refurbish existing space include pool resurfacing; new pool decking and locker rooms; increased accessibility for larger wheelchairs and walkers;
