Jamaal Williams, a former Virginia Union University football player, suffered a massive stroke at the age of 28. On Sept. 15, 2009, Jamaal and his mother, Daisy, appeared on WTVR TV's "Virginia This Morning" program to talk about his physical therapy and rehabilitation at Sheltering Arms. Jamaal is one of three subjects of a documentary airing this month about Sheltering Arms patients.
