This exercise-based program is developed around scientific principles that can help you improve muscular strength, endurance, range of motion, central nervous system stimulation, balance and functional movement.
Your NeuroFit trainer will work with you to develop personal fitness goals and help you reach them. Using the advanced rehabilitation technology at our hospital in Hanover and complementing the progress you have already made in therapy, NeuroFit will help you set the groundwork for staying fit and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
NeuroFit may be appropriate for you if you have experienced:
- Spinal cord injury
- Brain injury
- Stroke
- Cerebral palsy
- Multiple sclerosis
- Parkinson's disease
Criteria for participating in the NeuroFit program include:
- Able to breathe without the assistance of a ventilator
- Able to cognitively process directions
- Medical clearance
- Willingness to work hard
