Rehabilitation Nursing

Nurses play a crucial role in a patient's inpatient rehabilitative care at Sheltering Arms. They are on hand 24/7 to track and administer medications, provide care, monitor vital signs and address the unique needs of each individual patient. They are directly involved in every aspect of a patient's care while in the hospital, including monitoring food intake and helping those patients who may have difficulty eating/swallowing.

Nurses at Sheltering Arms are continually communicating with the rest of the clinical treatment team in order to coordinate care and address any medical concerns that may arise. They work hand-in-hand with the physicians and therapists, promoting the progress made in therapy in an effort to help patients gain increased levels of function and independence.
